It is unfortunate that middle class americans are limited to $2400.00 per election. Corporations, which are not even an "american citizen", just a business entity and does not have a vote, is allowed an unlimited amount of donations to one party.... Does our vote matter? Now "foreign corporations" are throwing millions in the pot? Whether Democrat, Republican, independant, the ironic result is "foreigners can dictate" who wins..... Our system is a mess, the rich pulls the wool on all middle class americans. Stop, think and then vote for those that protects the poor and middle class.......not the rich.

When you can stop the SEIU from doling out hundreds of millions of their members dues as the bosses see fit, then we can talk about muzzling employers cause that's what this is about. The dems want to keep using union money, but want the employers to shut up. Sorry, you guys lost that supreme court case.

Unions can NOT use union dues money for Candidates. They can ONLY use PAC money which is voluntarily contributed by the union members. The management people of where I retired from also had a political action fund which was voluntary. However they were told it was in their best interest to give.

I guess old Barry is on the campaign trail instead of leading our country! Isn't unemployment 10% and all he can do is gripe about Republican campaign money? As I recall, there were plenty of questions about his contributions in the 08 election. What a crock! VOTE OUT THE DEMS THIS NOVEMBER!

He is on the campaign trail because the GOP has blocked everything he wanted to do and blamed him for the problems. The GOP has sold America out to the highest bidder and is busy making sure that the Democrats/Obama cannot stop it. The GOP runs 'hate ads', AKA "Obamas death squads" etc, etc... But they get 'bent' out of shape if it 'seems' that the Dems are doing the same thing.

While it would be a serious problem, perhaps with unknown foreign donors, to a political agenda, do we not address contributions and alliances by benevolent billionaires like George Soros, the "Tide Foundation", and whatever.

Replied Axelrod: "Well, do you have any evidence that it's not, Bob? This is funny that the dems are now going to sling garbage and then say well can they prove we lied. It is pitiful and desperate! They have no platform to run on so now they are going ot try mud slinging. The good thing is every educated american will see through it, but I'm sure the ignorant uneducated left loons will buy into it. Good thing they are only about 15% of the population.

Said Schieffer: "This part about foreign money, that appears to be peanuts. Mr. Axelrod, do you have any evidence that it's anything other than peanuts?" Replied Axelrod: "Well, do you have any evidence that it's not, Bob?">>>>>>>>>>>> So, if I accuse obamao of sealing his college records to hide the fact that he was foreign-born, I can insist that obamao lovers prove me wrong? Otherwise, according to Axelhead's logic, what I say is true. What a lame, but typical lib, excuse for a senior W.H. aide Axelhead is. Birds of a feather............

Its only bad if the GOP does it and even if they do not do it like in this case the demos call them bad because they want you to believe all their lies that they are doing it even when they have no proof at all. Demos are really sick and desperate creatures that believe they are entitled to everything in life and only the people that work hard and prosper should have to pay for it. That is the democrat way make it impossible to be rich or make you pay through the nose if you get rich because they need every one to be poor and dependent on the GOV . The only problem is of course you run out of money fast when you have no business or people working because hell what's the point the GOV will take care of me and If I work then I have to take care of the ones that are smart enough not to work. That is the DEMO Logic and how anyone in America could be stupid enough to vote DEMO is well just crazy insane.

You notice how CBS fails to mention that the New York Times , the Washington Post and many others have said that Obama is a liar that there is no credibility to his claim. And how the CBS news dose not say that it is the DEMOS that are getting hammered for lying through their teeth. Go CBS protector of the Dictator Obama and mouth peace for the Liberals Go CBS follow the way of the MSNBC into oblivion Just go and go away America dose not need a someone pretending to be a news company when in fact they are just a propaganda machine for the liberals.

That would be par for the course, They hammered America into an up and comming 3rd world country when they got the SCOTUS to allow them to sell Americas Congress to the highest bidder earlier this year.

The current political climate and process is bad for every American. Think about all that money going out to buy political control of owns Congress, or your governor. Now think about who will benefit if AT&T, Comcast, Verizon, etc gains enough influence to finally install their toll booths to the Internet. Speed and access will be based on THEIR arbitrary fees--we pay!!! That means Apple, Google, Amazon.com, Americans, will be at the mercy of these gatekeepers. Congress is feeling pressure to enact tax laws for online purchases. Amazon, Apple, etc are working hard to stop this agenda. They rightfully want to keep the Internet as is. YOU really have to think about where all of this (political contributions) can lead to in terms of policy for the consumer and taxpayer. There is more to it than socialist unions and greedy Wall Street. Both are bad enough. To just say that Dems or Repubs are the bad guys is exactly what these corps want you to do. Meanwhile the fox is definitely stealing chickens from the hen house. Don't rant to each other about con v. lib, look at the bigger picture in what is at stake. Do you really want a mega-corp like Clearchannel, whoever, determining market choices in radio? Do you really want to see your next door neighbor's small business go under while you voted for politicians who are clearly owned by some giant corp? This topic of campaign funding has tentacles going everywhere. We would all be smart to look at this more carefully than just being pissed off with each other. There are a number of small businesses I support because I know the owners are honest and deserve my business. But they can't compete with China and make a regular living this way. I can't really afford to pay premium dollar--all the time for their routine services. I'm not a libby or a greeny type, just basic American that wants to see other regular Americans keep their independence and dreams alive. A big corp is never going to care about any of that. So, take a small road trip some day, you'll see plenty of franchise stores, fewer mom & pops with a local knowledge and product. All of that is continuing to go away. I'm pretty sick of McDonalds, Shell, Subway all over America. I think we're going to get more of that (in everything) if we don't put the brakes on this crazy election process. This stuff doesn't just happen because Bob the Mayor likes Walmart, Kmart, whatever. In the end, big business always squeezes out the little guys--eventually. Think about it.
